Pat Yale
is the author of Retiring to Cyprus. An ex-travel agent and lecturer in
travel and tourism, she has been a full-time travel writer since 1990.
Pat first
visited Cyprus in 1994 and has been popping back ever since. Born in London,
she lived in Bristol for many years before moving to Cappadocia in Turkey where
she now lives in a restored cave-house with a multitude of cats. She has worked
on many guidebooks for Lonely Planet and Holiday Which? as well as writing
several textbooks for travel and tourism students. She is also the author of A
Handbook for Living in Turkey which offers advice to expats following in
her own footsteps.
Additionally she writes for several magazines
and newspapers in the UK and Turkey and co-authored the most recent edition of The
Little Hotel Book, the guide to Turkey’s boutique hotels.
