A native of Edmonton, Canada,
Erin has a degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Alberta and
has written and edited several books and magazines focused on science, nature
and travel. In 2000 Erin moved to Italy to collaborate with Green Volunteers
and now lives in Los Angeles where she represents Biosphere Expeditions; a UK-based Conservation Volunteering
Organisation
.
A keen traveler, Erin has
written a travel guide to Argentina and worked with wildlife conservation
projects in South America, Africa, and throughout the Mediterranean and North
America. She has collaborated on a significant number of nature guides and
other works for Lone Pine Publishing in Canada and involves herself with
various wildlife conservation and environmental protection organizations.
Erin works as an independent editor and writer
for different publishers and is co-editor of World Volunteers, Archaeovolunteers
and Green Volunteers. The latter of the three
–
which is now in its
fifth edition with attached web resources
–
is the definitive world guide to voluntary work in nature conservation.
